Recruitment is essential to the Girl Scout movement. Many girls would never have gotten the chance to participate or known the opportunities available if a caring adult or good friend hadn't recruited them. Many adults have had the same experience.
As a council, the TIGSC begins each membership year with a heavy recruitment push. Without girls, we have no program, and without program, we have no Girl Scouts. The question remains How do we get the girls and the adults to join?
The answer can be as simple or as elaborate as the Neighborhood chooses to make it. Recruitment can be as simple as manning a booth at an Open House or hanging flyers in a local grocery store. It can also be as involved as a day long event in a local school with games, crafts, activities and parent meetings.
Below are some resources that should help you and your Neighborhood work toward successful recruitment events.
