The Our Rights, Our Responsibilities participation patch provides the opportunity for GSUSA members to join Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world in gaining awareness of human rights. The subject matter was selected as the theme for the 2002-2008 project of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), subbeeding the prior triennial theme of Building World Citizenship. Girls participating in the patch program will look at six theme areas: the right to be me; the right to learn; the right to be happy; the right to live in peace; the right to be heard; and the right to work together. Girls will complete at least one activity from each theme area in order to earn the patch. Click here for requirements on earning this patch. |
Our Mission Statement: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
