Background information:
This recognition is named in honor of one of the first Girl Scout troops in Northern New York, the Lily of the Valley troop, which originated in Redwood, NY.
Criteria for selection:
- The nominee is an active, registered adult Girl Scout.
- The nominee consistently performs above and beyond the expectations held for the position held.
- The nominee is an exceptional role model for other Girl Scout adults.
- The Adult Recognitions Committee, who makes recommendation to the Board of Directors for this award, reviews all nominations.
Nomination:
- Obtain two (2) letters of endorsement (copies included in this packet) and submit with this nomination form. Individuals must complete endorsement letters or groups who are familiar with the service performed and support the recognitions with appropriate information.
Presentation:
- The Lily-of-the-Valley Award is presented at the Thousand Islands Girl Scout Council’s Annual Meeting, held in May each year.
