Golden Chain: World Friendship
Everyday history is being made in our world. The events of September 11th and the current war on terrorism prove to us that we all need to strive for peace in our own communities as well as the world. International friendship and understanding will help to achieve this dream. Nations of the world must learn to appreciate and accept the differences of others without fear.
Not all of us have the opportunity to travel abroad, but we can become familiar with different countries and wonderful cultures and people who represent these nations. Become a “world traveler” as you work on this patch and increase your awareness of global issues.
