Capital Campaign

Camp Trefoil was started in 1949 and in its illustrious history, countless girls and adults have had their lives touched just from participating in programs on its grounds.

We are looking to the future of our camp with a great vision. The 210 acres that houses Camp Trefoil is rich with both history and potential. Harsh climate in the North Country has taken its toll on our camp and the cost of maintenance has gone up considerably through the years.

We have a goal: $250,000.

This goal will allow us to:

    • Renovate the heating and electrical components of our camp kitchen.
    • Give us road access, electricity and telephone service throughout our camp

In addition, we will be building:

    • A new Activity Center
    • An addition to our infirmary
    • A Tree House School where girls can have scientific discoveries and educational programs.
    • An Outdoor Amphitheater
    • A Bridge to Natural Wonders that will make our waterfront handicap accessible.
    • A weatherproof storage shed.

Our Mission Statement:

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

We will also be setting up a scholarship fund so that every girl that wants to experience camp will have the opportunity as well as establishing a Maintenance Fund.

A donation to our Capital Campaign will provide girls with a lifetime of memories and experiences that are unique to a camp setting.

Senator Wright secured the $15,000 grant funding which helped TIGSC cover construction costs.  The new bridge is just one of several capital projects at Camp Trefoil, Harrisville, scheduled throughout the summer and into the fall of this year.

To date, the TIGSC has raised half of its $250,000 capital campaign goal.
