There are many active, exciting Girl Scout troops in Black River Valley Neighborhood. However, troops fill fast leaving some girls who want to be Girl Scouts on a waiting list. We are looking for committed, caring adults who can give of their time. 1 hour, 1 month, weekly meetings, biweekly meetings, 1 meeting per month. Whatever fits into your busy schedule fits Girl Scouting. Be leader, a co-leader, an assistant leader, share a craft, share a skill/hobby, or share your administrative or organizational skills. If you can make the commitment to mentor girls to grow to be strong, resourceful citizens than we would like you to be a Girl Scout volunteer.
On March 5th, 2007 girls from troops 7 and 12 from Black River Valley Neighborhood opened the Watertown City Council Meeting with a flag ceremony. Mayor Jeffrey E. Graham then read a proclomation, proclaiming March 11-17 Girl Scout Week in Watertown. Click here to see pictures.
